Dubai, Unknown, November 10, 2025 — Dubai has announced the launch of the world’s first artificial intelligence-driven circular logistics hub in Jebel Ali, a landmark development set to redefine supply chain operations across the Middle East by 2027. The ambitious project, unveiled on Monday, is positioned to accelerate the region’s transition towards sustainable, technology-powered logistics, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as a global leader in innovation and trade facilitation.
The new hub, designed in partnership between DP World and leading technology firms, will occupy a prime location adjacent to Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport. This strategic placement ensures seamless connectivity to major road networks and multimodal transport corridors, enabling rapid movement of goods between air, sea, and land. The facility will span over 1.6 million square feet, integrating advanced warehousing, distribution, and assembly operations within a single, modular ecosystem.
At the heart of the development is a pioneering circular logistics model, powered entirely by artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. The hub will deploy predictive analytics, autonomous robotics, and real-time data platforms to optimise every aspect of supply chain management—from inventory tracking and container handling to route planning and energy consumption. By leveraging digital twin simulations, operators will be able to anticipate demand fluctuations, minimise waste, and ensure the continuous reuse of materials and packaging throughout the logistics cycle.
Construction of the hub is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026, with phased completion leading to full operational capacity by mid-2027. The project is expected to attract a diverse array of tenants, including third-party logistics providers, e-commerce giants, and multinational manufacturers seeking to expand their regional footprint. Flexible unit sizes and modular building designs will allow businesses to scale operations efficiently, while maintaining the highest standards of sustainability and operational excellence.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Abdullah Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, emphasised the transformative impact of the initiative. “This new hub marks a significant milestone in Dubai’s journey towards becoming the world’s most advanced logistics centre. By harnessing artificial intelligence and circular economy principles, we are setting a new benchmark for efficiency, resilience, and environmental stewardship in global trade,” he said.
The facility will be certified to LEED Gold standards, reflecting a strong commitment to energy efficiency, water conservation, and low-carbon operations. Solar panels, smart lighting, and AI-controlled climate systems will contribute to a substantial reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, while automated recycling stations will ensure that packaging and materials are continuously repurposed within the supply chain.
One of the hub’s most innovative features is its AI-driven cargo orchestration platform, which integrates blockchain-secured documentation, autonomous vehicle fleets, and drone surveillance for enhanced security and transparency. Predictive algorithms will manage berth allocation and vessel queuing at Jebel Ali Port, minimising turnaround times and streamlining the flow of goods. IoT sensors embedded throughout the facility will provide real-time insights into equipment health, enabling predictive maintenance and reducing operational downtime.
Industry leaders have welcomed the announcement, highlighting Dubai’s role as a pioneer in logistics digitisation and smart trade facilitation.
